Dear Colleague,

The era of cheap energy is ending due to the depletion of low cost fossil fuel deposits. First effects are being felt in Europe in significantly higher fuel and chemical prices, and in the recent large impacts on energy markets of political instability in oil & gas exporters. At the 9th ASPO conference from 27-29 April in Brussels, Belgium, we will discuss these issues in the context of European Energy Policy in an Era of Expensive Energy.

Join ASPO 9 to gain fresh insights on

  • Impacts of 100+ dollar per barrel oil prices on energy markets and the economy.
  • Long term availability and cost developments of oil, gas, and coal markets.
  • Global Oil Export developments and consequences for the European Union.
  • Potential and policies for a full scale transition to renewable energy sources.
  • Potential to develop an agricultural system without fossil fuels.
  • Integration of renewable energy sources in the European electricity grid.
